Florida State Fire Classes
Florida Fire Inspector
The Fire Safety Inspector program is based on NFPA 1031 Standard for Professional Qualification for Fire Inspector and Plan Examiner. The program covers fire codes and standards, plan review, building construction, fire prevention, and more.
To be certified as a Fire Safety Inspector I by the Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training (BFST), an individual must successfully complete a minimum of 200 hours of basic certification training for Fire Safety Inspectors, or have received equivalent training in another state, and pass a state written examination.
Ricky Rescue Training Academy offers the courses required for Fire Safety Inspector levels I and II. Classes may be taken individually or as part of the Fire Safety Inspector I and II Series. Ricky Rescue also offers select continuing education courses for certificate renewal, as listed below.
