EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) - Refresher

The 8-hour EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course) Refresher is designed to reinforce EMS operators, firefighters and paramedics with the needed skills to safely operate and drive emergency vehicles, including ambulances.  This recertification class focuses on advanced driving skills and defensive driving in emergency and non-emergency situations. The Ricky Rescue Training Academy EVOC class meets both the national and state of Florida requirements for EVOC certification. Class participants must have a valid Florida drivers license (Class E operator).

This blended class includes four hours of online training, combined with four hours of practical on site driver training. Your driving training can take place at a Ricky Rescue location or in person with a local instructor and taskbook.

This course is designed to meet Florida state (Florida Statute 401.281, 316.003 (1) F.S.) and Florida Administrative Code 64J-1.013 requirements for safe emergency vehicle operations.

When completing an online or blended class through Ricky Rescue Training Academy, you will be held completely responsible for your own achievements. You must ensure that you work consistently and diligently to complete the coursework and related requirements in order to move forward. These open enrollment courses allow you to pace yourself, but will require sufficient self-discipline to keep up to date with the workload. Therefore, it is your responsibility to set aside the time required to complete the various units of these courses.
