Florida State Fire Classes
Florida Fire Instructor
The Florida Fire Instructor program is designed to prepare firefighters to be instructors and trainers. Fire Instructor candidates must have at least six years of experience as a regular member of an organized fire department.
The Florida Bureau of Fire Standards & Training offers three levels of Fire Instructor certification. Ricky Rescue offers the classes required for Fire Instructor levels I, II, and III. Classes may be taken individually or as part of the bundled Fire Instructor I, II, and III Series. (Note: Candidates for Fire Instructor II must hold an Associate’s Degree, and Candidates for Fire Instructor III must hold a Bachelor's Degree.)

These open enrollment courses allow you to pace yourself, but will require sufficient self-discipline to keep up to date with the workload. Therefore, it is your responsibility to set aside the time required to complete the various units of these courses.
