Florida Pump Operator
The Fire Apparatus Pump Operator program is designed to prepare Florida firefighters for service as fire department driver-engineers. Pump operators have an understanding of emergency vehicle operations, fire service hydraulics, fire-related physics and chemistry, and successful relay operations.
To be certified as a Fire Service Apparatus and Pump Operator in the State of Florida, an individual must successfully complete 90 hours of basic certification training for Apparatus and Pump Operators, or have received equivalent training in another state, and pass a state written examination.
Ricky Rescue offers the classes required for certification as Fire Apparatus Pump Operator. Classes may be taken individually or as part of the bundled Pump Operator Series or Pump and Aerial Operator Series.

When completing an online or blended class through Ricky Rescue Training Academy, you will be held completely responsible for your own achievements. You must ensure that you work consistently and diligently to complete the coursework and related requirements in order to move forward. These open enrollment courses allow you to pace yourself, but will require sufficient self-discipline to keep up to date with the workload. Therefore, it is your responsibility to set aside the time required to complete the various units of these courses.
